1、节目简介

　　《这里是北京》（THIS IS BEIJING）栏目是我台在海外播出的唯一英文专题类节目。作为英文杂志性栏目，《这里是北京》集中了我台优秀的、适合海外观众收看的节目：形式包括新闻、专题片、纪录片和一些综艺节目；内容涵盖时事、人文、社会、环境、旅游、在中国生活的外国人等诸多方面。从1994年开始，《这里是北京》在美国联邦公共广播公司的MHz 台每周六晚10点到11点播出，十二年来，通过这个平台，《这里是北京》节目在当地建立了稳固的收视群体。2006年4月，《这里是北京》节目入选联邦公共广播公司"世界博览"（MHz WorldView）频道，通过环球广播公司（GLOBECAST）公司在全美播出。联邦公共广播公司提供的最新收视统计显示："世界博览"频道在环球广播公司的订户已达20万，而该节目在美国各州的公共电视台已拥有1600多观众。2007年"世界博览"节目将登陆在全美最大的卫星公司DirecTV，预计起步阶段就将有20万订户。

We use your show to teach her about China, its culture and its wonderful people. We plan our Saturdays around it. We also use it to plan things we hope to see during our future trip(s) to Beijing.

　　I watched your program for the first time this evening. I came across it by chance on the Mhz broadcasting station in Washington, DC. The show highlighted Starbucks' penetration into Beijing culture, a large market selling everything from 1960's posters to instruments, and a tour of palaces. I thoroughly enjoyed the content of the show, the host, and the various correspondents. I look forward to watching your show on a regular basis, and when the financial responsibilities of being a college student are less overwhelming I hope to visit Beijing.

　　My name is Jasmine Qunying Wu. I came to the US from China 10 years ago. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area in CA.

　　I saw your documentary film "Dragon's Heart" a charity foundation created by Jackie Chan today. It touched my heart deeply. My hometown is Hunan. There are many poor kids can't afford their tuition. I was in tears and wanted to do something to my country more than ever.

　　Just wanted you guys to know that you did a fantastical job. I hope more and more people especially the over-sea Chinese will contribute something to help all the kids in China to get the education they need.
